Matt Cowpe of VMG Projects has logged 125,000+ miles at sea on a range of sailing yachts. This ability to Captain yachts in addition to project management gives useful flexibility for an owner and a great understanding as to how yachts work and operate.

A recent example of how useful this versatility is came in July 2008. After a protracted build a 29m yacht was to be launched at short notice and was required to be commissioned, equipped, crewed and delivered 3,500nm - all within 6 weeks. VMG Projects were contacted to get this project back on track.

VMG Projects were able to undertake this project as a whole, getting up to the yard, quickly ordering the required equipment, organising crew, preparing the yacht for long delivery and then executing the task - all to a pre-agreed budget and timescale.

VMG projects are now managing the warranty work on behalf of the owner in an extension to the original agreement.
